I found this under a post titled "Wanting the Impossible".

"I want eyes that don't suck, that aren't so blurry. I have a degenerative eye disorder, thus they grow exponentially worse, year after year."

Fish Nation's tact could obviously be improved upon. However, he clearly would like the opportunity to read your blog, which in my eyes (20/20) is sort of a complement. He simply suffers from a degenerative eye disorder that makes it hard to see small print.Trevorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17971913460014932156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8696853815979670566.post-57230188600192437492011-04-19T19:15:07.761-07:002011-04-19T19:15:07.761-07:00Fish Nation, that anonymous post wasn't even m...Fish Nation, that anonymous post wasn't even my response; however, I must note that it could be a reflection that perhaps others felt that not only was your first comment out of line, but the following comments were also out of line. I was hoping to be courteous and not mention anything, although I felt your approach was not the slightest bit tactful.
There are many other ways you could have delivered your message, if you so felt inclined.
I welcome criticism in order to make changes, but I do not welcome attacks.
Thank you,

JennyJennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00235857491011830653noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8696853815979670566.post-56675558889340021062011-04-19T18:57:09.841-07:002011-04-19T18:57:09.841-07:00Nailed on the head. And they don't teach graphic design when one acquires a GED, which is all I have. Do you fear critique of your likely hideous blog, anonymous, and therefore only make your comment in anonymity?

These suggestions are not me being mean, or a troll, as it were. Just simply suggestions. By all means, return to visual illegibility, as clearly demanded by your troll hating following.Fish Nat!onhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06054996160215565847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8696853815979670566.post-37522312514586340402011-04-19T18:44:23.144-07:002011-04-19T18:44:23.144-07:00Fish Nation is simply a troll of the worst kind. ...Fish Nation is simply a troll of the worst kind. Probably unemployed and educated only in graphic design, which would explain his ability and readiness to waste time arguing on a blog that actually IS intended for only friends and family. That's the only explanation I can think of that would excuse his apparent desire to share his web-design "knowledge" with strangers by critiquing material that was not intended for his eyes in the first place.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8696853815979670566.post-85144899657002282982011-04-19T18:19:36.954-07:002011-04-19T18:19:36.954-07:00Upon review of Lake Family's blog, apparently ...Upon review of Lake Family's blog, apparently by "creativity," she means the lowest level of readability possible. If you want a blog that only your family will ever grudgingly read, then by all means, carry on with crazy fonts, transparent text fields, moving backgrounds, and all sorts of clashing colors.

However, if you want a blog that people OTHER than your immediate family and besties read, make it as easy to read as possible. Not that I am an expert, by any means. But take a look at any blogs with a significant following, and they all have one thing in common- they are easy to read, with relatively simple layouts. Hideous, eye wrenching color schemes and difficult to decipher text does not = creativity. Contrary to popular Mormon-scrapbook-loving-chunky-vinyl-letter-adorning-frills-on-everything belief, attractive simplicity IS creative.Fish Nat!onhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06054996160215565847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8696853815979670566.post-19068007340802039602011-04-19T18:08:24.579-07:002011-04-19T18:08:24.579-07:00I agree with the Lake family.
